Behind the Veil
“My experience of Africa with Global Partners was so far beyond my expectations that I am at a loss for words. It was a veiw “behind the veil” that showed me the real Africa, being lived by courageous, real people, that affected me deeply. It was a trip that changed my life in many ways.”
Meeting Villagers
“I looked into the eyes of hundreds of Maasai villagers and saw their strength, their vitality and their amazing willingness to do everything in their power to make a better world for their children.”
A Child’s Life
“In the far distance we saw a thin line of goats on the horizon of the Serengeti Plains. As we approached we could make out the flapping red cloth worn by a Maasai shepherd. We stopped and he came over to the truck. He was just a boy of eight or nine years of age. He was the dustiest kid I have ever seen. He asked for water. We gave him a bottle and he took two swallows and gave it back saying “Sante” thank you.”
The Tree of Life
“After hours of driving cross country we came to a wash or low place in the plains that would have carried water during the rainy season. In the bottom was a huge green tree. The guide told us that the Maasai called it “The Tree of Life” and believe that it was from under this tree that man came into the world.”
Africa Friendship Tours- “Eyes on Africa ”

Global Partners for Development offers several unique and rewarding tours of Africa each year.
We invite you to extend your imagination and your sense of adventure and join us for a Global Partners’ Africa Friendship Tour. You will be welcomed with traditional singing, dancing, and will experience grassroots community development in action. Global Partners' trips are designed to provide a tangible experience of the spirit of the real Africa embodied in its rich and diverse cultures.
This is an experience that, as one of our trip participants said, "you couldn't buy at any price." Travelers on our tours visit homes and schools, join in community celebrations, meet with community leaders, and are welcomed as partners and friends.

The safari part of the trip travels to some of the most magnificent national parks of Africa, including Lake Manyara, Tarangire, and Ngorongoro Crater. Here the extraordinary wildlife provides an awesome spectacle against the backdrop of volcanic peaks and high plateaus where humankind was born.

Global Partners' Africa trips are among the world's most inspiring travel adventures, offering wonderful, never-to-be-forgotten experiences of friendship and partnership with the people of East Africa. If you have a specific interest or want a different kind of tour, we can design an African trip to meet your specifications.
